“Shadyac sold his Hollywood mansion and moved into a trailer park,” says Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “He’ll share his journey and offer practical help in taking the next step toward living a saner, happier, less cluttered life.”

The Lifetree event, titled “Simplify Your Life,” offers participants practical help to reduce clutter, complication, and chaos in everyday life, according to Cable.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Snacks and beverages are available. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting.

Central Presbyterian Church of Tarentum offers a clothing ministry in its Fellowship Hall at 305 Allegheny Street every Saturday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Volunteers are needed to receive donations, fold and sort clothing, arrange displays, and assist clients. In addition to adult volunteers who have a passion for clothes and helping others, young people who need to fulfill requirements for community service (scouting groups, high school students) are also welcome.

The program, titled “How to Sniff Out a Scam: Practical Tips for Giving Wisely,” features a recorded interview with a woman who rallied her community to raise money for a friend who lied about needing cash for cancer treatment.

The Leechhburg Volunteer Fire Company announces that the LVFC will be holding the Leechburg community days freedom festival September 12-13-14 at Leechburg Firemens Grounds, 268 Canal Street Leechburg PA.

The 3 day event will feature local entertainers, school groups, variety of food and other vendors . The festival committee welcomes any group, organization, or business that may want to participate in this community event. Entertainment and performers who are interested in participating may contact the committee as well.
